Hi, I’m Creepy Squid, or Sydney, an artist who loves working with both yarn and paint. My creative world is split between the slow, soothing rhythm of crochet and the vibrant, expressive freedom of painting. Each medium feeds a different part of me: crochet grounds me, while painting lets me explore and release.

I’m drawn to texture, color, and the stories that live in everyday objects. Some days, I’m lost in loops of yarn, making soft, detailed pieces that feel like quiet meditations. Other days, I’m in front of a canvas, chasing emotions with bold colors and brushstrokes.

Art has always been how I connect — to myself, to others, and to the world around me. Whether I’m stitching or painting, my work is about feeling, remembering, and creating something honest with my hands.
